Railsplitters Improve To 2-0

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN - The Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer team improved to 2-0 Friday evening when it traveled to Milligan, Tennessee and won a close 3-2 battle with the Buffaloes of Milligan College.

Friday's victory marks the second win this week for the Railsplitters who defeated former Gulf South Conference foe the University of Alabama-Huntsville last Sunday in the season-opener at home by the final of 1-0.

The Railsplitters' goals Friday evening were scored by sophomore Fernando Silveira (Brasilia Brazil), Mackenzie Wilde (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and Hayden O'Kelly (Campbell, ACT, Australia.

This Wednesday the Railsplitters travel to Bristol, Tennessee to take on the Tornado of King College in a key regional match-up before opening the South Atlantic Conference schedule next Saturday in Newberry, South Carolina against Newberry College.  Wednesday's match with King gets underway at 5:30 p.m. in Bristol.
