Railsplitters Will Host Mars Hill In First Round Of 2010 SAC Tournament

HARROGATE, TN - The Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer team (10-5-1, 6-3) will host South Atlantic Conference opponent Mars Hill College (12-4-1, 5-3-1) in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. on the LMU campus. The announcment came this weekend following play of the final regular season matches.
The Railsplitters finished the regular season conference schedule as the league's no. 4 seed following Saturday's 2-1 double overtime loss to regular season champion no. 1 Wingate University (14-2, 8-1). Mars Hill will enter Wednesday's meeting with Lincoln Memorial University as the league's no. 5 seed and will be looking to avenge their regular 3-1 regular season loss to the Railsplitters less than a week ago.
The winner of Wednesday's match between LMU and MHC will face the winner of no. 1 see Wingate University vs. no. 8 seed Brevard College (3-14-1, 2-7) in the semifinals of the 2010 SAC Tournament on Friday in Rock Hill, South Carolina at 6:00 p.m.
Admission to the 2010 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for college students and children 13 and under however, the first 100 LMU students with valid ID's will be admitted free of charge to Wednesday's quarterfinal event via sponsorship for those tickets.
