BARBOURVILLE, KY - The Lincoln Memorial University Men's Soccer team shut out Asbury 4-0 on Wednesday.
The game was originally set to be played at Asbury but was moved to Union College's field due to a scheduling conflict.
Both teams came out playing solid defensively until Kyle Gros (Victoria, BC) snuck in a header off a corner kick by Willian Moura (Newtown, CT) in the 40th minute to put LMU up 1-0.
The second half belonged to Railsplitters as Tom Clark (Kent, England), Pedro Canineu (Sorocaba, Brazil) and Adam Huber (Murfreesboro, TN) all scored goals giving LMU the 4-0 victory.
Nineteenth-ranked LMU (4-0-1) will travel to Morrow, Georgia this Saturday for an important regional matchup with Clayton State at 2:30 pm.
