Railsplitters Finish In Fourth Place At Richard Rendleman Invitational

SALISBURY, NC -- The LMU men's golf team shot a 297 on both days to finish with 594 and a tie for fourth place in the Richard Rendleman Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
Seventeen teams participated in the tournament, with UNC Pembroke winning with a combined score of 581. LMU and Newberry tied for fourth and both came in first out of the eight South Atlantic Conference teams competing.
Cory Bartlett, Jamie Chapman and Eric Kennedy led the Railsplitters as all three shot a 148 and finished tied for 14th. Joshua Cornett (150) tied for 24th and Luke Butler (151) tied for 31st.
LMU will hit the links again Mar. 12-13 at the Tusculum Invitational.
