Mario Pinto Named To NSCAA All-Southeast Region Team, Leonardo Germniani Makes Third Team

KANSAS CITY, KS -- LMU freshman forward Mario Pinto and junior midfielder Leonardo Germniani have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's Division II All-Southeast Region Teams. Pinto was named to the First Team and Germniani made the Third Team. The team was announced today.
Pinto, a freshman from Uberlandia, Brazil, led the Railsplitters in scoring with 13 goals and five assists. He led the South Atlantic Conference in shots per game and was second in total shots, points and goals. He also ranked eighth in the SAC in assists. Pinto led the team in game-winning goals with three, which ranked him fourth in the SAC in that category. He also ranked in the top-30 nationally in points, points per game, goals and goals per game. Pinto was also named the SAC Freshman of the Year and the All-SAC First Team as well as Second Team Daktronics All-Southeast Region. He is the only SAC player to make the first team.
Germniani had one goal and two assists this past season. He was named to the All-SAC Second Team. The junior ranked eighth in the SAC in total shots and 10th in shots per game this season.
