Men's Basketball Announces Individual Camp Dates
April 20, 2012
HARROGATE, TN -- Head men's basketball coach, Josh Schertz, is proud to announce the dates for this summer's Josh Schertz Individual Skills Camps. This summer, the LMU men's basketball coaching staff will offer two week-long sessions. The camps will be offered June 25th through the 29th and July 2nd through the 6th.
Each camp will be open to boys and girls of all ability levels entering grades K-12. There is a half-day and full-day option for campers. Those campers who attend the full-day session will be provided lunch and an afternoon swim session, as well as optional individual skill instruction with the LMU men's basketball coaching staff.
During the second session, campers will celebrate the Fourth of July on Wednesday with the men's basketball team. On that day, the camp will be shortened to a half-day, morning skill session, as the coaches and players will host a cookout and swim session for the campers and their families. This is the first time a celebration like this has been held by the Josh Schertz Individual Basketball Camps and we are excited to host campers and their families.
Also, for the first time this summer, coach Schertz will hold a One Day Shooting Clinic on Saturday, July 21st, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This one day camp will be specifically designed to focus on the camper's jump shot form and technique. Campers will work exclusively with the men's basketball coaching staff and current LMU guards to perfect their shooting form. Each camper will be videotaped and have a one-on-one film session with a member of the LMU men's basketball coaching staff. Lunch will be provided. Information on the shooting clinic in included in the individual camp flier and registration here.
Fliers and registration information on the individual skills camps are available here.
