Campos & Cataggio Earn Daktronics Women's Soccer All-Southeast Region Honors

HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial University midfielder Karina Campos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and defender Lea Cataggio (Aberdeen, MD) have been named to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region Women's Soccer First and Second Teams by the sports information directors throughout the region.

Campos, a 5'7" two-year letter-winner led the team in goals scored and in total points this season with nine goals and two assists.  In addition to being named First Team All-Southeast Region, Kampos was an All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team.

Cataggio, a 5'2" senior sweeper was the anchor of the Lady Railsplitter defensive effort over the past two seasons and was also a Second Team All-South Atlantic Conference selection this year.  During the 2008 season, Cataggio helped the Lady Railsplitters record four shutouts this year and achieve a 11-6-1 season finish.

The Lady Railsplitters lose both Campos and Cataggio as well as three other players to graduation and will be looking for their next South Atlantic Conference title when they begin the 2009 campaign in late August.
