Lady Railsplitters Roll Past Pfeiffer 94-76

HARROGATE, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial University Women's Basketball team took the lead early in the first half and never looked back as they defeated Pfeiffer University 94-76 on Saturday.
LMU junior Andi Winney (Yorktown, IN) came out strong as she scored eight of the Lady Railsplitters' first ten points and scored all of her 21 points in the first half as she went 8-10 from the field and 5-5 from the charity stripe. Sharing the leading scorer honors with Winney was senior Kara Harris (Alcoa, TN) who also had 21 points including 6 three pointers. Sophomore Megan Davis (Petersburg, IN) led the Lady Railsplitters on the boards with 8 rebounds.
Pfeiffer (0-4) was led by Nicole Maready (Advance, NC) with 18 points and a double-double from Allegra Shanee' Purnell (Woodbridge, VA), who finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Jamila Harris (Danville, VA) added in 15 and Devona Knight (Woodbridge, VA) scored 13 for the Lady Falcons in the loss.
Next up for the Lady Railsplitters is a home meeting with North Georgia on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
