MacLeod Earns NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-South Region Honorable Mention

HARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer senior Gavin MacLeod (Glasgow, Scotland) has been named National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas Scholar Athlete All-South Region Honorable Mention.
A 6'0" defender and four-year letter winner with the Railsplitters, MacLeod helped the LMU men achieve an 11-7-2 overall record this season, which included a trip to the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Semifinals.
The NSCAA/Adidas Scholar Athlete selection process includes athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III as well as NAIA institutions and evaluates those athletes on their performace on the field and their academic excellence in the classroom. The award is extremely difficult to earn and classifies those selected among the elite collegiate athletes in the country both on and off the field.
Throughout his four-year career with the Railsplitters, MacLeod has been a part of two conference tournament titles, two NCAA regional titles, two NCAA Elite Eight titles, two NCAA Final Four appearances and one NCAA Division II National Championship match appearance while accumulating a four-year record of 61-19-7 record. MacLeod will graduate in May with a degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology.
