Railsplitter Golf Finishes 6th At Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate

PANAMA CITY, FL - The Lincoln Memorial University men's golf team recently finished 6th at the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate held in Panama City, Florida. The Railsplitters shot a team score 609 to finish behind Columbus State (585), Clayton State (589), Lander University (590), Armstrong Atlantic (592) and South Atlantic Conference opponent Newberry College (607).
The back half of the 16 team field included Cape Fear Community College and North Greenville University who tied for 7th with scores of 618, Southeast Oklahoma State who finished 9th with a 620, followed by Catawba College (622), Georgia Southwestern (625), Tusculum College (625), Southern Wesleyan University (643), Lenoir-Rhyne University (644), Wingate University (644 and Faulkner University (664).
Individually, LMU's Brad Neudorf (Virgil, Ontario, Canada) finished highest among the Railsplitters participating in the match. Neudorf shot rounds of 72 and 77 for a two-day total 149, five strokes over par and 11 strokes off the lead to finish tied for 13th place overall. Teammate Eric Kennedy (Powell, TN) also finished among the top-20 by turning in rounds of 76 an 75 for a total 151, seven over par and 13 strokes off the lead.
LMU's Brad Greenside (Barrie, Ontario, Canada) finished in 46th place of the field of 80 participants. Greenside shot a pair of 79's to complete the event with a final 158, while Railsplitter Cory Bartlett (Shanty Bay, Ontario, Canada) tied for 51st place with rounds of 76 and 83 for a total 159. Junior Cory Talley (Newport, TN) placed 54th among the Railsplitters, posting scores of 85 and 75 for a final 160.
