Softball Wins Heart Of Ohio College Fall Classic, Places Five On All-Tournament Team

MARYSVILLE, OH -- The Lincoln Memorial University softball team captured the championship of the Heart of Ohio College Fall Classic this past weekend in Marysville, Ohio.

LMU went 5-1 in pool play and was named the best team in the tournament.

The Lady Railsplitters had five players named to the all-tournament team, led by Ashley Legge (St. Paris, OH), who was named Most Valuable Player.  Other LMU players on the team are Sammy Jo Garrett (Wartburg, TN), Cierra Mudd (Washburn, TN), Heather Baker (Broadway, VA), and Devin Sponseller (Delaware, OH).

LMU will continue the fall season at Cleveland State and will open up the regular spring season on February 13 when they host Glenville State.
