LMU's Kennedy & Chapman Receive All-Conference Honors

Eric Kennedy at last year's SAC ChampionshipHARROGATE, TN - Lincoln Memorial University sophomore men's golfer Eric Kennedy (Powell, TN) has been named 2010 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golfer of the Year by the head coaches throughout the league while teammate Jamie Chapman (Sussex, England) was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team.
A two-year letter-winner with the Railsplitters, this year's award marks the second consecutive season Kennedy has received conference honors. Last year as a freshman, Kennedy made the SAC All-Tournament Team for his performance in the 2009 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Tournament.
Throughout the 2009-10 season, Kennedy turned in a 73 average while leading the Railsplitters to four first place finishes, three second place finishes and one third place performance that were all the highlight's of the teams's season.
Joining Kennedy on the 2010 SAC All-Conference First Team are: Liam Ashby and Brad Robinson of Carson-Newman College, Daniel Stanley and Chandler Gruenemeier of Newberry College.
The All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team was comprised of Johnathan Clapp of Catawba College, Jack and Jason Garrett of Lenoir-Rhyne University Jamie Chapman of Lincoln Memorial University and Matthew Campbell from Newberry College.
On Monday and Tuesday the Railsplitters are competing in the 2010 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Tournament that is being held at Etowah Valley Country Club in Etowah, North Carolina.
