Lady Railsplitters set to host season-opening LMU Volleyball Tournament

HARROGATE, Tenn. – Ten NCAA Division II women's volleyball matches will be played over a 48-hour period at Mary Mars Gymnasium this weekend as the Lady Railsplitters open the 2017 campaign by hosting the LMU Volleyball Tournament.
 
All 10 matches – five on Friday, September 1 and five on Saturday, September 2 – will have early-season regional implications, as Lincoln Memorial will be joined in the field by South Atlantic Conference foes Carson-Newman and Mars Hill, Conference Carolinas opponents Erksine and King, and the Gulf South Conference's Lee.  
 
The Lady Railsplitters will play three matches this weekend, opening the tournament against Lee at 10 am on Friday before closing the day against King at 8 pm. Lincoln Memorial will finish of its weekend against Erskine at 4:30 pm on Saturday.
 
LMU students with a valid ID as well as L Club members will be admitted free of charge for the entirety of the LMU Volleyball Tournament. College students with an ID from another school will get in for $5 each day. Otherwise, one-day passes are available for $10 and two-day passes are available for $15, which allows access to all 10 matches.
 
Doors will open one hour prior to the first match on each day.
 
All 10 matches will be live streamed on the LMU Sports Network, while live stats will also be available for every match.
