Latasha Washington
Assistant CoachAlma Mater: Armstrong Atlantic '04
Washington joined the staff in 2011. She re-joined her collegiate coach, this time on the sidelines, after a four-year stint at Scottsdale Community College.
She was a two-year starter for Hodge at Armstrong Atlantic where she helped lead the Pirates to a Peach Belt Conference title in 2003. She was named to All-PBC teams in 2003 and 2004 and was All-South Atlantic Region, Division II Bulletin Fourth-Team All-America and Daktronics All-America Honorable Mention in 2004. She is listed in the AASU career top-ten in eight different categories, and holds the school’s single-season steals record. Her jersey was retired in 2005.
After college, the Texas native spent several years playing overseas in Greece and the Netherlands.
“Tasha Washington has every bit as much talent as a coach as she did when I coached her as a player,” said Hodge. “Considering she was an All-American during her career, that is a big statement. She is articulate, knowledgeable and an extremely hard worker. I appreciate Coach Washington’s loyalty to me as a player and now as a coach. Together with Coach Matt Acton, I feel that I have a coaching staff as good as any in the country and I am very excited about what we can achieve as a staff.”
